Google Now Offers Help For Hacked Sites

March 13 by Sling & Stone Leave a Comment

We can’t stress enough about how important it is to have two tools for your website: Google Analytics (or some type of analytics tool), and Google Webmaster tools. The latter is the best (and only) way for Google to give you information directly about your site in their search index; no other tool can do this. If your website gets hacked, Google puts a warning next to your search listing, discouraging searchers from visiting your site, because of the potential dangers. They will send you a message in your webmasters tools informing you of what they found so you can get it fixed ASAP. The new help center will walk you (or your webmaster) though the steps to fix the site and get the warnings removed.
