Bing Webmaster Tools Adds Site Move Tool

Bing webmaster tools has announced its new site move feature. This is similar to Google’s “change of address,” which is for moving from one domain to another, but also offers a way of notifying them of moves within the same domain. If you’ve redesigned your site architecture or changed permalinks (in the case of blogs), this will help expedite the move, but you will still need to do 301 redirects. One thing to note is that once you issue a move request, you have to wait six months before you can do another one.
