Understanding that email marketing is still the best channel to nurture relationships and convert prospects into clients, getting someone’s email address is very valuable. The only problem is that visitors don’t just give it out to anyone do to all the spamming taking place. The email address has become the new phone number, a closely held asset.
In order to get the prospect to offer their email address, you need to at least offer them something equally (if not more) valuable. This is where your “Irresistible Free Offer” comes in. This is the beginning of the sales funnel in which you can continue to nurture them by providing more valuable information relevant to their needs.
This engagement gives them a chance to know your brand, then like it, and lastly trust you enough to do business. Once at that stage, the barriers to selling have come down.
