Whoa…$80,000 In 3 Days From Facebook Marketing!?!

June 20 by Sling & Stone

This video is a short testimony of how travel agent “Captain” Lou Edwards shared a webinar video with a Facebook group and received over 60 bookings for a cruise in 3 days. Below the video, I’ve outlined the strategy behind this successful campaign, why it worked, and how you can do it too.

So, what did he do that made this so successful?

Target Audience

The first (and most important) thing he did was go out on Facebook and find a group comprised of people that are likely to enjoy cruising. He doesn’t mention what Facebook group it was, but it was a relatively small one of just over 250 people.

The trick is that they were highly targeted people based on what his ideal client would be. It doesn’t necessarily have to be a group about cruising, it can be a group based on some other interest where everyone participating has an affinity for cruising.

Goodwill Webinar

Next, he used a lead magnet in the form of a mini webinar he posted in the group. The webinar would consist of helpful and valuable information to the people in the group, and wouldn’t be all about trying to sell the cruise.

He also likely had a relationship with this group already; posting helpful answers to questions, or sharing links to videos or articles the group may be interested in. Relationship is key, as simply joining a group and posting sales messages will get you removed quickly.

Call To Action

He used Facebook events as a way to invite the group to the cruise. Facebook will remind them of the upcoming event, causing urgency to get them to act now, and it linked to his website where he gets them to book online before he even talks to them.

And what did this all cost him? Likely very little money, and some time. He had to put the webinar together, where he may have spent some money for graphics, editing, etc. but mostly it just cost him his time. He also had to develop a relationship with the group he joined before trying to sell them anything. Again, it really only cost him his time to post helpful information to the group.

So out of a Facebook group of 264 people he was able to book 68 of them on a cruise, which gives a conversion rate of 25 percent! Those are some impressive numbers, and that’s just one group! Now all he would do is rinse and repeat with another group.

Have you tried anything like this before, if so what were your results? Is this something you can see your self doing in the future…like right now!? Leave a comment below.
